COOKIES POLICY
This site uses cookies
- Technical Cookies (necessary), essential for the site to function.
- Analysis and Performance Cookies, for monitoring site traffic.
- Third Party Cookies, e.g. to take advantage of PayPal payment.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their devices. They are stored in them in order to be retransmitted, at a later time, to the same sites of origin on the occasion, perhaps, of a subsequent visit. Cookies can be deposited inside the user's device directly by the website the latter is visiting (first-party site) or by a different website, so-called ‘third-party’, since within each website, there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that may reside and/or lead the user to links present on servers different from those providing the first-party site. Thanks to the storage of cookies, the user can customise the enjoyment of certain website content by saving his or her own preferred settings. For example, it is possible to set a cookie to recognise the user registered on the site without the user having to proceed to a new authentication during a new visit. The Data Protection Authority distinguishes them into:
- Technical cookies
- Profiling cookies
Technical cookies
These are cookies that serve to carry out navigation and/or provide a service to the user. They are not used for any other purpose and are normally installed directly by the website Owner. Without the use of such cookies, some operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure, such as home-banking activities (viewing account statements, bank transfers, bill payments, etc.), for which cookies, which allow the user to be identified and maintained within the session, are indispensable.
Profiling cookies
These are cookies used to track the user's navigation on the web and create profiles on tastes, habits, choices, etc. With these cookies, advertising messages can be sent to the user device in line with the preferences already expressed by the same user when browsing online.
Analytical Cookies
These are used to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit this site. The Guarantor (with reference to Provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014), has specified that these cookies can be assimilated to technical cookies only if they are used for site optimisation purposes and directly by the site Owner (therefore not by a third party), who may collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site. Under these conditions, the same rules, regarding information and consent, provided for technical cookies apply to analytical cookies.
Third-party cookies
These are cookies installed by a different site within the site visited. When the user decides to interact with the plugins, some personal information may therefore be acquired by the third party.
User consent for the installation of cookies on the device
The expression of consent for the storage of cookies depends on the purposes for which the cookies are used. For the installation of first-party technical and analytical cookies no user consent is required, while in the case of third-party cookies it is necessary, among other things, to provide appropriate information. Even profiling cookies can only be installed on the user's device if the user has expressed his or her free, voluntary, specific and unequivocal consent after being adequately informed.

Acquiring consent to store cookies
In order to keep track of the consent acquired, the website owner uses a special technical cookie, a system that is not particularly invasive and does not in turn require further consent. In the presence of such ‘documentation’, it is not necessary for the short information notice to be repeated on the user's second visit to the site, without prejudice to the latter's possibility of denying consent and/or modifying, at any time and in an easy manner, his or her options, for example by accessing the extended information notice, which must therefore be accessible from every page of the site.
Provision of data
With the exception of technical cookies strictly necessary for normal browsing and first-party analytical cookies, the conferment of data is left to the will of the person concerned who decides to browse the site after having read the brief information contained in the specific banner. The interested party can therefore avoid the installation of cookies by keeping the banner (thus refraining from closing it by selecting the ‘OK/ACCEPT’ button), as well as through the appropriate functions available on his or her browser. Alternatively, you can stop browsing.
How to disable the storage of cookies via your browser settings
You can deny general consent to the installation of any cookies on your device by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser: navigation without tracking your activities will still be available in full. Links are provided below to inform you how to disable cookies for the most commonly used browsers:
